500th Moth Celebration, 20th October!
David Dennis and Peter Bygate have now identified 500 different species of moths on the Commons, a great cause for a celebration. Join them at Cholesbury Village Hall on Tuesday 20th October at 7pm. This will be a fun event with some moth trapping going on outside, weather permitting, whilst we are entertained inside! All welcome.
Pre-Christmas sale at the Cricket Club, 21 November
Whilst it seems a way off, Christmas will be upon is sooner than we realise. As usual we will be having our ‘sale’ at the Cricket Club on Saturday, 21 November from 10am to noon, with calendars, cards fruit cakes and lots of other goodies. Do come along, enjoy your first mince pies of the season and meet your friends and neighbours too.
Hawridge and Cholesbury Fête, 31 August.
Thank you for supporting us and, of course, the Churches, on a ‘changeable’ afternoon. We are really grateful for your support. All in all, a lot of fun was had and it was wonderful to see so many people, both from the Hilltop Villages and some from a way away. Thank you to all those who did so much to organise it - and the Ellesborough Band for playing on, at moments it brought to mind the Titanic!
